M.A.S.T.S. has 31 individual flats, which are leased from Incommnities and then sub-let (furnished and decorated) to young people. M.A.S.T.S. currently offers 3 different types of Supported Housing:

  1. The Ordinary Service, which is aimed at single young people (male & female) aged 16-25 (19 flats)
  2. The GEM Service aimed at young women aged 16-25 who are either 7-months pregnant or have a child (6 flats)
  3. The Teenage Parent Service, which is for teenage parents aged 16-18, who are either 7-months pregnant or have a child (6 flats)

Waiting Lists & Interview Process…

There is no knowing when a flat will become available, so there is no specific time allocated for being on the waiting list.

When a vacancy becomes available, the young person with most need from the waiting list will be contacted for an interview. The young person undergoes two separate interviews – one with the Project Manager & then one with a Housing Support Worker. Before they are offered a tenancy, the young person would also have to complete an Initial Needs/Risk Assessment with a Housing Support Worker. A decision is then made regarding their suitability for the Project and if successful, the Assessment would create the basis of their Individual Support Plan.
